Lift Bridge Regatta

Join us for the annual Lift Bridge Regatta. This event welcomes all masters, youth athletes, coaches, parents and supporters to our Fairport boat house.

Event Details

Parking is located in  the Perinton Office Park lots behind the bowling alley, NO Regatta parking is allowed in the lot in front of the bowling alley. Additional parking can be found in the Qualiatrol parking lot west of the Perinton Office Park.

Head of the Genesee

HISTORY

The Head of the Genesee is part of the Rochester River Romance Weekend of activities promoting our great city and venue for rowing.  It is one of the largest regattas in New York State west of the Hudson River hosting over 50 organizations annually.

Event Details

Parents dropping off athletes will turn off Elmwood Ave. onto Moore road, across from the University of Rochester.  Do not park.  Athletes will get off in the drop-off zone and proceed along the short pathway along the parking lot.  Buses and parents can then drive around the park and out onto Elmwood Avenue.  

Parents and Spectators are suggested to park in the UR Medical parking lots.  Follow parking signs across from the entrance to Genesee Valley Park. 

Head of the Fish

This regatta is one of the largest regattas in the country. The Head of the Fish attracts over 160 teams and 1600 crews from across the Northeast and features the country’s most unique trophies. Fairport Crew Club has reserved rooms for Saturday, October 25th and an email will be sent to families with the booking link.

Venue

Rowers should be dropped off near Village Lane behind the DPW. Coaches will announce drop off times shortly. There are lots of great viewing spots. Many spectators choose to watch the races from Schoen Place.
