History

History of Fairport Crew Club

Founded in 1999, Fairport Crew Club is based in our community supported boathouse at 1399 Fairport Road at the south end of Perinton Park. The Club was established to provide competitive rowing opportunities to area youth.  FCC is a volunteer-run organization and is not associated with the Fairport School District.

Fairport Crew Club is a not for profit membership organization that provides an opportunity for high school aged youth to learn and compete in the sport of rowing. The Club provides a learning and competitive rowing environment and encourages the development of good sportsmanship and teamwork. The Club promotes the sport of rowing through community activities, education, training and outreach. These include adult learn-to-row programs, the youth skills camp coached by college-level coaches and through community service activities throughout the year.
